looking up all the references is a lot of work - one of the reasons nobody normally verifies these, but trust the writers.
as you will see, the writers are banking on this, but it is not a good thing to trust the wtbts writers.
please find the bibliography worked out for quotes 38-51, covering the heading "what about human evolution".. interesting is that many quotes are from the preface of books, where the authors honestly explain the difficulties and assumptions related to evolutionary science.. what about human evolution?.
thanks for the hard work!

theodore ("ted") jaracz1925-2010.
about 7:30, june 9, 2010, theodore ("ted") jaracz, one of the members of the governing body ruling over jehovah's witnesses, died.
previously, on may 19, 2009, he had had a serious stroke, but recently seemed to have made a big recovery, giving some assembly talks.
ALICE, although i do not interact with you much, i do wonder things...
1. male/female?
2. why are you not attending meetings?
3 why are you on here?
4. Why do you defend the WT Soc but disobey it?
5. why are you so quick to compare JW to catholics? It makes it look like an effort to make JW look better by showing that the catholic church is worse.
6. If the elders can base judicial commitee decisions on the word of only two people why can you not accept that a thousand may well be right in regards to things like child abuse 'accuasations'?
7. Are you aware that 'stories' can be true even if not published in the watchtower?

as i've proclaimed so loudly, my oldest son is getting married next year.
we have a small budget (about $5k) and they want a wedding with three bridesmaids, three groomsmen, and a catered reception.
thus far, my son is going to load his ipod with music.
we got married for under $1000 last year inc ALL costs.
I wore clothes i already had, she a polkadot dress made by a friend that she wears on other occasions as well.
Had my 2 kids as 'bridemaid and groom' in their favorite good clothes.
The hearse was broken down so we used her old 60s holden for a wedding car.
Used a celebrant at an old ruin and people picked wild flowers on the way for bouquets.
reception at her sisters house with about 25 closest friends and family. Sister in law sourced and prepared all the food.
Cake made by friends wife.
honeymoon night was a wedding gift.
everybody took photo's and emailed them too us, and MIL husband made us a cool dvd of the event.
plastic costume ring for her and a pewter cheapy for me...
perfect day!

for those that went to meeting what was the general response to this "new understanding" of "this generation"?
at my hall i don't think anyone really got it or cared.
swallowed hook, line and sinker.
So it seems that those elders feeling confident tackled it, those that didn't avoided it!
The Faithful slave sure goes out of its way to make sure the R& F understand the important stuff... NOT
oz
no matter what the society does to try to attempt to fix this generation debacle, there is no way they can ever get it in jwa minds that the end will come past 2014.. nobody even gets or understands the change.
nobody cares.
generation will always mean to them up to 100 years!
Possibly so, but
i had no idea the phrase ''millions now living will never die'' even existed until 6 months ago.
And those who saw it for the first time in a recent WT article were told it was ''may'' not ''will'' if i remember correctly

well, some of you know that i have a 16 year old son who lives with his jw mother.
she has already mastered the art of guilt control on him.
i am most anxious that he not get baptized at all or at least unless he has really understood the whole truth, not just the watchtower truth.
Thankyou for the kind words,
We do have some good talks now. I am careful though to have some visits free from discussing stuff as i dont want them to feel that every time they come down it has to involve this sort of thing.
My daughter actually does not have the choice to go home if her older brother does. She stays for the full weekend, thats it. We did talk about how this set up will help her be better prepared for the time when he may choose not to visit at all some weekends.
It also was arranged this way to stop the ex wife from from limiting her time as she gets older, which has been a tactic of hers for many years.

i just can't contain my mirth (and disgust ) about the the history of the wt soc any more!.
the history of miller and his teachings, barbour being a millerite and a guide to the then young russell cemented the truth of the modern day wt organizations history as opposed to its own whitewashed version of history.. for 37 years i saw them as the one true religion.
now i just see them as total frauds.
Thanks for the great comments, and the book on barbour link! deep down, it is history that i love.
Yes i do agree that all religions are fruit of previous religions and ideas, nothing new there.
What i am refering to is the blatant MISREPRESENTATION OF HISTORY that the Jehovah's Witnesses perpertrate.
Should it be a problem that they also sprang from millerite ideas? Not in itself, But to whitewash the real facts of history and proclaim that they are totally unique SHOULD be.
The references in thier literature to Miller, Barbour and others is presented as merely a few who rekindled Russells interest in the bible is pure falsehood.
To present it as Russell going his own way and researching deeply to arrive at his understandings is a crock of shit. All he did was study the existing Pre millenial adventism fathers teachings and run with it.
Certainly i do not like the methods and teachings of modern day JWs either.
For me, the truth about the link to Millerism shows the rot right from the start. Rotten soil, rotten tree, rotten fruit. And that in itself is enough to demonstrate the falsehood. From there on, every thing else i have learned about them is cream on the cake.
After 37 years of not even knowing this stuff, its like a great revelation. A confirmation that almost every thing i have come accross in the last 7 months about them not being THE TRUTH really is true!
Indignant that the references in their own history hid it so well from me and still do to others would be an understatement for me.
